1. Application:

Industry

It is the main raw material for the manufacture of lithopone and zinc salt, as well as a printing and dyeing mordant, a preservative for wood and leather, and an important auxiliary raw material for the production of viscose fiber and vinylon fiber.  In addition, it is also used in electroplating and electrolysis industries, and can also be used to manufacture cables.

Cooling water in industry is the largest water consumption. The cooling water in the closed circulating cooling system cannot corrode and scale the metal, so it needs to be treated. This process is called water quality stabilization. Zinc sulfate is used here as a water quality stabilizer.

Oral zinc sulfate can correct zinc deficiency and restore the function of enzyme system. Zinc ion can precipitate protein, and has astringent and antiseptic effects for external use, and can help to form granulation tissue. [4] Medicinal zinc sulfate is suitable for the treatment of enteropathic acrodermatitis, aphthous ulcer, chronic ulcer and conjunctivitis caused by zinc deficiency. However, when used with penicillamine, the effect of the latter was weakened. Zinc sulfate monohydrate can be used as zinc supplement in feed.

Agriculture

It can be used to prevent diseases in fruit tree nurseries, and it is also a common fertilizer to supplement zinc trace element fertilizer for crops. It can be used as base fertilizer, foliar fertilizer, etc. [5] Zinc is one of the essential nutrient elements for plants. Maize is prone to have white flower seedlings due to zinc deficiency. In case of severe zinc deficiency, it will stop growing or even kill the seedlings. In particular, zinc sulfate and other zinc fertilizers should be applied to some sandy loam soils or fields with high pH values. Increasing zinc fertilizer can also increase production. Fertilization method: 0.04~0.06kg zinc fertilizer, 1kg water, 10kg seed dressing, and 2~3h sowing in a heap. Before sowing, apply zinc fertilizer to the rhizosphere, 0.75~1kg per mu. In the seedling stage, if the leaf color is light, zinc fertilizer can be sprayed with a dosage of 0.1kg per mu.
